Sustainable Practices: Cactus silk or sabra silk is a plant-derived silk harvested from Saharan aloe vera cacti in northern Morocco. After the silk fibers are collected from the plants, they are washed, dyed, dried and then hand-spun into fabric. This durable fabric is used to make a number of items and often embroidered by hand with unique and meaningful Berber symbols.
